Name is derived from the small amount of oleo-resin contained within the bark, giving a similar smell to turpentine.
Can be easily mistaken for the redder types of Brushbox, as in overall appearance is very similar. Has become difficult to obtain over the last few years.

Origin : Found along the East coast between Sydney and Cairns.
Colour : from reddish brown heartwood to almost pink at the sapwood.
Hardness : 12
