Tallowwood Eucalyptus microcrys

Has been a very popular species in flooring.

Is however becoming scarce and difficult at times to obtain.

Also known as :

Origin : Found between the Hunter river area of New South Wales and the Maryborough district in Queensland.

Colour : From yellowish brown near the heart to distinctly lighter yellow nearer the sapwood. Some wood from older trees can be darkish brown.

Hardness : 8.6
