In some cases can contain high proportion of knots, these can be a problem if not tight, as will lift and detach during sanding

Knots usually indicate poor pruning during early years of growth. Oil or wax finishes can considerably darken the overall colour of a floor. It should be noted however, that a hardness of 3.3 means that the timber will indent easily, this can occur by walking on the floor with high heels, or dropping items such as children’s toys etc.

Origin : There are large areas of radiata plantations in the Southern states of Australia, these supply the majority of product to the market, the balance is imported from New Zealand.

Colour : Pale yellow to white, some light brown can be evident in wood from older trees.
